I've asked this before but didn't have enough context.
Last time no one could help me because they didn't know what the RACE method was, well there it is
Ah okay this is pretty straight forward I'll give you the general format sample for it, if something is still confusing you then let me know R: The authors tone has changed from a ___ to a more ____ style*. A: In Passage A the author talks about _____ (what we talked about in the last post) In Passage B the author changes his tone by talking about ______ ('') C: For example, according to [author], `Quote:` E: This proves a change in tone though ____. The author uses ___ words that evoke a ____ feeling I added the * because those are parts you do not have to include, these are also suggestions, you can change the order of the words or change the sentence completely I am not sure whether your teacher is checking for proper citation conventions, you should still include the parenthesis and page number after the quote if you didn't state it before
I dislike how it terribly formatted C: For example, according to [author] (Quote) E: This proves a change in tone though ____. The author uses ___ words that evoke a ____ feeling
I did not get a notification for this sorry
Oh yeah, this def clears up my confusion, I've got like 1 other assignment with the same English teacher that's also overdue, and her wording isn't the best for me to understand. So yes, this helps me a lot to have it broken down. I really need to catch up, ty.
