ZoeyBiocth16:

A right cylinder with radius 7 inches and height 10 inches issliced in half, perpendicular to the base. What is the areaof the cross section?

ZoeyBiocth16:

@dude

justjm:

If you take a perpendicular cross-section of a cone along its base the base of the triangle would be coinciding with the radius and the height of the triangle is the height of the cone itself

justjm:

So apply that into your formula for the area of the triangle, A=Bh/2. Remember, B (Base) is two times the radius.

dude:

^you probably misread It's a cylinder D:

justjm:

Oh dear It's okay. So the cross-section is a rectangle instead |dw:1571012879165:dw|
