Prologue

I don’t understand. How can people pretend everything is ok when it’s not. We live in such a messed up place. Yet it’s all ok?
Hi I’m Grey and I’m more than just my looks. Yes, I may have ice blue eyes and brown curly hair and I may be tan and have the “perfect body”, but that doesn’t mean my life is perfect.
My life is a mess right now. My best friend just died, and no one wants me to go to the funeral. Everyone thinks I killed her too. WHY WOUD I EVER DO THAT!!!!!! I loved her with all of my heart. She was the only person who excepted me for who I am all the crazy things I can do.
I met her, Hailey when we were in Pre-k. She was the only person that would talk to me. Back then she had ice blonde hair and green eyes. Over time her hair faded to dirty blonde but her eyes stayed emerald. She was beautiful.
I’ve always been the shy type. I never talked to anyone except Hailey and our other friend Oscar. I’ve never even really liked people. They lie and gossip and they call you names and I don’t want to deal with it. Hailey and Oscar are the only people who don’t do that and thats why we are friends. Now Hailey is gone and Oscar is moving in a week. I should’ve known that nothing ever lasts.
I’m going to always be alone. Oscar keeps trying to cheer me up, but I can see he’s just as depressed. No one knows what happened to Hailey besides Oscar and I. Her death has scared me more than anything in my life, and a lot of messed up stuff has happened to me. I guess I should start from the beginning.

Nitram Chapter 1

When I was first born, my mother and father gave me away. I have no idea why but if I did I would go back and change it. Why? Because my adoptive parents are abusive and hate me and anything I do. They once beat me for doing my homework when I got home. I hate them, Ross and Lillian.
Ross is bald and has the sternest face and the ugliest yellow brown eyes. Lillian has a sagging face, and the muckiest red hair. Her eyes are gray and filled with anger. They are the cruelest people I’ve met. Sometimes I wish they would end my life instead holding me down and torturing me.
When I was three is when they first hit me. It was terrifying. I had dropped my juice cup on the white couch and I tried cleaning it up but it left a stain. I was so upset and was screaming and crying Lilian came in and slapped me with a belt across my back. I still have the scars. From that point they’ve hit me or grabbed me almost everyday the only way I can escape is school. Or through my window when Hailey was still alive.
After they had hit me a few times I got a vision. I was four, and sitting in my bedroom hiding from Ross because he had just gotten home and I had left my toys out. I was in my laundry basket in my closet. Then I just sorta shuddered and I wasn’t there anymore. I was in a gray and dark forest but everything looked like it was covered in suit. I walked around screaming for anyone. I was in a pastel pink dress with white lace flowers on it and my hands where covered in blood. I didn’t know what was going on. Then a distant voice screamed my name.
After it screamed my name I woke up but I was in my kitchen getting kicked by Ross. I don’t even remember how I got there. Sense that day every time I’m scared I go into those vision things but I’m still living in my other reality. I call my terrifying reality Nitram I have no idea why it came to me in a dream. I think thats what that world is called.
Nitram has gotten weirder and weirder by the minute and I’ve been able to control when I go there, well when my conscience goes there. Every time I’m fixing to be hit I slip out of my reality. Afterward it doesn’t even hurt. I guess it is the person taking over my body that feels the pain and I feel bad.
Hailey new about the visions. She didn’t at first the I showed her a video of me going into Nitram. My eyes turn black and I have no emotion for however long I’m there. Hailey helped me with my training so I have her to thank. I can finally control them and I can do a lot more now.
I levitate sometimes and my eyes look like flames when I do. I can make things happen when I snap to like clean or make stains go away, but I can’t do it to living objects. I can also talk to the dead. That one scares me a little bit. It is fun though I can talk to anyone I’ve met some nice people. I haven’t been able to talk to Hailey yet but I’m trying.
In the days before Hailey’s death I was able to send her to Nitram with me. She thought it fascinating that I could do such crazy things with a blink of an eye. I was always scared she would get hurt and well she did.

It was unexpected and well scared everyone. Remember when I said I didn’t kill her? Well technically it’s my fault she’s dead.
We had been going to Nitram every night. We would both sneak out and meet at the graveyard, it was easier to talk to the dead that way. We would sit next to the tall Marry statue and be teleported. One night things got out of hand and I cut it off. The next day I went over to Hailey’s and we went back to Nitram wear she died in my arms. To understand her death you have to understand the realm.
As I grew I saw more and more in my visions and I even met people. Some people weren’t as friendly. I got into this group of warriors called the Axels. They were powerful. They trained me and taught me more about my true identity. I could never thank them enough for what they did for me. Although I never saw their faces I felt there pain and sufferance. I vowed to do whatever it took to help my family, and I did jus that. I fought their enemies the Theos and won every battle. Except for the one Hailey tried to fight in.
We were weak and our armor had been stolen, Hailey was mad and decided to kill the emperor of the Theos. She stole armor from one of their fallen soldiers to disguise herself. I didn’t know whee she was as I looked for her throughout the kingdom of Albeir, the Axels kingdom. She was nowhere in sight. Litle did I know she was halfway up the Marku mountain. She had almost made it to the Rayan kingdom, the Theos kingdom when I had realized where she was. Of course I disguised my self like Hailey had done and went to stop her.
