Random thought of mine to increase solar energy efficiency: Consider a 3D elliptical dish that's a MIRROR, with the focal point being a solar panel.
|dw:1571802941399:dw| All the energy harnessed from the surface-area of the dish gets utilized into a single solar cell. Solar panels no longer need to be flat, we can be more efficient if we construct elliptical mirrors instead.
The focal point is a concentrated beam of energy, possibly reaching to extremely dangerous temperatures, and blinding light. Other usage possibilities: 1. Throw your food into a ball, and place the ball there to cook your food 2. Wrap flammable items on a stick, and start a fire on the stick 3. Heat up water to generate steam, and use the steam to push turbines, generating electricity. 4. Direct the energy at the focal point into a beam, and utilize it as a heat weapon. Which comes to my design for a middle-east armored vehicle concept: |dw:1571803863579:dw|
hehe
I dont know if it could be effectieely used as a weapon, but I have seen solar ovens with a similar design to optimize temperatures.
so if you placed a solar panel at the center, im sure you could enhance energy production
The great thing about this is that you can recycle mirrors, and just position them so that the reflection angles are reflect light beams to intersect at a point, which is something any house-hold person can do.
True, but you also have to take into consideration the movement of the sun. As it moves ou would have to change the angles of these mirrors.
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
I found this interesting
