... That would require a powerful motor, which would be expensive, and would likely break down unless you made it an engine, which in that case it would either require a lot of power or a lot of gas, either way it seems impractical... and dangerous

Eh I'm sure you could use a hypnotic mechanism instead to put the person to sleep.

The issues with this method is that the force wouldn't actually push blood out of the brain because of the CSF and the blood-brain barrier. In fact, being upside down would bring more blood to the brain. Also, tampering with their mechanisms would lead to TBI (traumatic brain injury) which is really bad.
