iosangel:

check my work? In osmosis, water molecules move with the concentration gradient, therefore no energy is used. This is an example of: active transport<< passive transport

dude:

Neh Osmosis is just passive transport but for water only

kittybasil:

Osmosis doesn't require any membrane proteins or substances that facilitate transport. It's just water flowing from higher concentration to lower concentration. Basically like the diffusion of food coloring when you drop it into water. It spreads out to areas it hasn't covered yet.
