tyson:

Margie calculated that she would spend $175 on school supplies this year. She actually spent $97.50 on school supplies. What is Margie's percent of error? (5 points) 77.3% 79.5% 44.2% 4.4%

ElectricImpurity:

If I remember right, the formula to calculate the percentage of error is\[\frac{ Approx. - Exact }{ Exact } x 100\] but I'm not sure.

ElectricImpurity:

If I'm correct, then the true answer isn't on there (but very close). However, I'm not sure that I am correct.

tyson:

which one would it be tho closest tho

ElectricImpurity:

So I checked and I was correct. Do you know how to fill in the formula?

tyson:

no just give me the exact anwser

ElectricImpurity:

This site is to help you learn how to solve these problems on your own, not just for straight answers. The approx. is the number that is wrong, in this case 175, and the exact is the actual number, which in this case is 97.5. Try to fill in the equation from there.

ElectricImpurity:

I asked that already in a dm @slipknot3066
