After settlers migrated to North America, resources were used to establish housing and farm and grazing lands. Which resource was reduced because it was in the way, rather than because it was necessary for progress?
Any answer choices? I'm thinking it's coal, because they didn't have any use for it, so they put it away.
I highly doubt that the answer would be coal. Coal is mined, right? Early settlers wouldn't be doing much mining, plus they would be able to use the coal in fires assuming they knew what it was.
Not only that, but coal wouldn't be "in the way" as it's underground.
They used wood for fires, wood is what was used for fires since forever..they didn't know what to do with coal
But it wasn't in the way. The question states that "resources were used to establish housing and farm and grazing lands" which has nothing to do with resources underground anyways.
