Help me @dude.
k
what math are you in
{y=x+2 {y=-3/5x-6
Algebra 1. I'm a freshman in high school with 56 missing assignments...
hey dude, can you help me with my problem while I help him
same, i'm a freshmen in high school in pre-calc. but I have 0 missing assignments
I am actually excited to get into geometry cuz I was godly at that back in grade school
nice
whats the problem

what do you have to do?
Solve each system of equations by graphing. Show all work on the attached paper. Use your solutions to navigate through the maze.
I basically have to graph it and find my way through the maze.
so can you use a graphing calculator?
I can but I don't have one...
But I have to show my work too sooo....
She's really strict on showing work.
ok
there is a way to do it without a graphing calculator, and easy calculations
Sorry my internet cut out for a sec
Gotta love hotel wifi am I right?
to solve systems of equations you can set them equal to each other and solve for the x value. (which is where they intersect) then plug it back in and find the y-value) In your case y=x+2 and y=-3/5x-6. Set them equal to each other so x+2 = -3/5x-6, isolate x by subtracting 2 from both sides. which results in x= -3/5x-8. Then add 3/5x to both sides so it becomes 8/5x=-8 then multiply by 5 on both sides so 8x=-40. Then divide by 8 to get x=-5. plug it back in any of the equations and find the y-value
WHAT THE FREAK JUST HAPPENED TO MY BRAIN?!
MY BRAIN WENT FROM "You got this bro" TO "HELP ME. GOD PLEASE HELP ME"
That made 0 sense to me. I missed like 30-50 days this semester and my brain just exploded because I did not understand a word there
sorry man, its been a while since I've been in algebra 1
I see that
try rereading it again and see if that helps
I read it like 5 times. That's what took me so long to reply.
so pretty much y=x+2 and y=-3/5x-6 x+2=-3/5x-6 x=-3/5x-8 x+3/5x=-8 8/5x=-8 8x=-40 x=-5
I still don't understand.
I am no help am I? lol
I'll explain what I did in all my steps
Okay that would probably help me a lot
so pretty much y=x+2 and y=-3/5x-6 x+2=-3/5x-6 x=-3/5x-8 x+3/5x=-8 8/5x=-8 8x=-40 x=-5 step 1, both equations step 2 set them equal to each other step 3 subtract 2 fromboth sides, so we can get x by itself step 4 add 3/5x to both sides, now there is no x on the right side and x+3/5x on the left step 5 add the x terms step 6 multiply both sides by 5, helps get x by itself step 7 divide both sides by 8 to get x by itself which is -5
I can't give a better explanation, try to talk to your teachers and see if you can be caught up
I am more confused than I was before the explanation...
My teacher basically hates me because of how far behind I am...
sorry man, cant help much then, try asking someone else
If @dude was online I'd ask him but he's not :(
