bill533:

There are six numbers on a normal die. What is the probability that you roll a 5 or a 6?

Nnesha:

\[\rm P( A ~~or~~B)=P(A) +P(B)-P(A ~and~B)\] A and B represent the events. In this case either you will get 5 or 6. Since the Event A and B are disjoint P( A and B) will be 0. Event A and B cannot occur at the same time. you can't get 5 and 6 at the same time.

Nnesha:

P(A)= what is the possibility of getting 5? P(B)= what is the possibility of getting 6?

Babyplier:

Sorry about my answer. I actually came here to delete it, but thx for doing it for me!

GoldenDance:

oh no problem
