My dad likes to make chicken for dinner, but I don't like chicken. (I like chicken nuggets but that's besides the point) How do I tell him I don't want to eat the chicken to where he respects me and lets me eat something else (he always tells me to eat it anyways) P.S. I just found out QC used to be OS lol
Have you told him at all before?
yes, I told him right before I posted that, and he said too bad and that I'll be okay
1. Flavor You can work with your dad to adjust the spicing of the chicken. Maybe more salt? Pepper? Would if we tried onions? Also, you mentioned you like chicken nuggets, so a possible middle ground would be flavoring the chicken with common chicken nugget sauces. This is your barbecue sauce, honey mustard, sweet and sour, ranch, etc. You and your dad can try cooking with these sauces, or putting them on after. 2. Cooking Methodology If the chicken is too dry, or too moist, these are points of contention you ought to bring up to him. I enjoy chicken, but it's all too easy for that sucker to be too dry, and becomes labor to eat. Similar to my first recommendation, instead of outright telling him 'no,' work with him to make the dish more appealing. 3. Last Resort Perhaps your father likes how the dish is, and doesn't want to change it. That's fine. Find a dish or recipe that you like, and ask if he can make it the following day that he makes the chicken dish, so that you guys both get something that you like. Maybe it's the promise of chicken nuggets, or something even more luxurious. Who knows? Best of luck! (:
okay, thanks
I have the same problem, so I know how you feel.
