This event furthered american disdain toward England, and was partially responsible for the beginning of the American Revolutionary War.
The ground were we stand With the flag held in our hand Was first the red man's “The ground were we stand” refers to America. “The red man” is a Native American. The red man’s land was stolen and colonized by the white man (“flag held in our hand”).
