Answer: What motivated for the Panama Canal to be made was to save time and money. Another reason for it to be built was transporting goods and help ships to sail. 4. What did the Roosevelt Corollary warn other nations against doing? Answer: The Roosevelt Corollary warned other nations to intervene or interfere from trying to colonize in the Americas. It was the United States who had responsibility to interfere in affairs with other nations to make sure there would be no conflict. 4. Answer: The first reason for the U.S. involvement was of the sinking of the Lusitania that started killing American and British passengers that were on a ship. The meaning of catalyst Answer: The meaning of catalyst is someone or something to try to spark up a war or battle. Answer: What made the Zimmerman Telegram a catalyst was trying to convince Mexico to join forces with Germany to promise land if they helped win the war. The reason why the Americans were angry about this was because Germany wanted to help Mexico to take out the U.S..
