I believe the answer to this question would be B. Take note that the domain for a linear function is from negative infinity to positive infinity on a closed interval. This means that you can use ANY x value and it will always return a y value. Because there is no given restriction within this function, we can safely say this. The reason why the answer is not A is that while y values themselves are not restricted on a linear function, as their domain extends from negative infinity to positive infinity, the y values are based on whatever x value is inputted into the function. For each input (x value), it will return an output (y value). Following this rule, plugging in any x value into the function will return a specific y coordinate in relation to the x coordinate.
