You would need to know what is produced after each. They are both in anaerobic conditions and occur in a variety of cells (not much to do with prokaryotic or eukaryotic). Both involve the change of pyruvic acid, but in Alcohol fermentation it's to CO2 and alcohol, while in lactic acid fermentation it's to lactic acid.
