I’m a WOLF! That doesn’t HAPPEN every day! And then I started to fly. I looked back to see darkened angel wings. AND AN ANGEL OF DARKNESS? And then I put my hand to my head, searching for some type of animal ears, and felt the black diamond of a crown. I open my mouth to howl and scream in joy, and everything moving just… Freezes. I just watched everyone watching me watching them. I looked down on my friends, those of the monstrosities I didn’t yet know but would know soon enough, and at last, with satisfying pleasure, I looked down at Ms. De-De, a hatred flurrying around inside of me, but I didn’t know why. I said, with a determination unlike any other determination I’d ever had, “I-I’m… The Animal Queen of Darkness! Bow to me, for you shall seal your fate if you don’t.” Everyone was down on their knees in mere seconds, in bowing positions. I laughed, saying “Just kidding! I wouldn’t hurt a fly, honestly! Unless it comes to what I love. Then that fly is history.” I floated down to the ground, landing in a cloud of stars. I once again found myself meeting the eyes of those who stared at me staring at them staring at me. My friends surrounded me, all asking their many questions at once, then all asked the same question at the same time: “How cool is this?!” I looked at all their faces, smiled, and said, “I dunno… BUT THIS IS AMAZING!!!” We all formed a ring, bouncing up and down, squealing like the group of pigs in the corner of the room, who I knew were talking about me, but I didn’t care anymore! I WAS NAMED QUEEN OF DARKNESS! HOW STRAIGHT UP AWESOME IS THAT?! I calmed down, the calm spreading to my friends. I whispered, “Look at Nat.” And motioned over Lunar’s shoulder. Natalie was sitting a group labeled “Youngers” and she just looked so happy and proud, the widest smile I’d ever seen her with. (Night Time again) I shook out my head, hair finally free of its cage, and jumped into bed, a fire in my eyes, and closed my eyes.
