Consider the context of this quote. Polonius is asking Reynaldo to find Polonius' son Laertes and find out what he's been up to. However, Polonius is asking him to be discreet/indirect about it (using "indirections," or indirect/roundabout methods to find "directions," or facts/information). They don't give you a lot of direction for what to write, but perhaps consider 1. your personal opinion of this characterization, and 2. what this means in the greater context of the play.
