you want to know the distance of the rightmost side (from the tree up to the bird) you also have the adjacent side so the appropriate ratio is tan(theta) = opposite/adjacent opposite is your unknown (x), adjacent is 15, theta is 67 degrees solve for x, make sure you're in degrees mode on your calculator.
