try separating the terms (8xy2-14y2) \2y ---> becomes (8xy^2)/2y - (14y^2)/2y and try to cross out common factors in each term between the numerator and denominator for example, in (8xy^2)/2y, 8/2 can become 4 in the numerator, and y^2/y becomes y in the numerator
