PLS HELP FAST!!!! 2. In the figure, 4 is an exterior angle to . (a) Explain why 4 is equal to the sum of the measures of the two nonadjacent interior angles. ***What is the name of the property?*** (b) What is 4 ? Answer:
there's a pic
a) Exterior angle sum property. b) m4 = mALU+mAUL = 57+20=77
could you give a little more detail on a though pls
on which part?
(a)
you want to prove it?
huh
nm
thx
Okay, so here's the proof. In triangle AUL, Sum of all the angles is equal to 180 degrees. \[\angle ALU+\angle AUL+\angle UAL=180\] \[57+20+\angle UAL=180\] \[77+\angle UAL=180\] \[\angle UAL=180-77=103\] And \(\angle UAL\) and \(\angle UAP\) forms a linear pair. Therefore,\[\angle UAL+\angle UAP=180\] \[103+\angle UAP=180\] \[\angle UAP=77\] So, we can observe that \[\angle 4=\angle1+\angle 2=57+20=77\] Hence, Proved and this property is called as EXTERIOR ANGLE PROPERTY
