Is this the best line of fit? If so, is y=8/2.5x+1.4 the approximate equation in slope intercept form for the scatter plot?
are there any other lines to compare this one to
What do you mean? for this problem?
yes
oh nevermind
well no this is not the best line of fit. as you can see the dots dont match up with the line so the answer would be no and therefore since the answer is no i do not have to answer the second part
so how can I make it the best line of fit?
you just have to find the right equation that fits with the dots
so choose two dots that are on the line the best then, do find the slope and the y-intercept
sure you have to find the slope and y-intercept to find the best line that works
(0.5,3) and (2.5,9)?
@jhonyy9 what do you think?
lol honestly i have no idea
lol, That's okay, it this a better line of fit?
it looks the same
I know, i'm trying to figure out how to match it up with the dots like you said earlier.
@Bubbly then you check these two lines so from these the first one is better then the second yes ? just check it
Okay
sorry i wasnt a great help
@bubbley check these lines from diagrammes - check the intersection points of ox and oy so like an easy help what you think about points (0.5 , 3 ) and (2.5 , 9) try drawn this line and will see the result
@Bubbly ok. ?
Got it.
very nice !!!! hope you understand it now sure have a nice day bye bye
