If a few people are upset at your jokes, then it could be them. But if a lot of people are unhappy with your jokes, then perhaps it is time to consider whether your jokes cross people's boundaries, or simply aren't funny.

Who knows? People are people nowadays and they don't like physical contact, so ofc they won't like jokes

Or maybe it's because most, not all of them, but most, people these days are just plain insensitive and that insensitivity is why people are so touchy. Maybe you don't mean for it to be, but it is to someone because a lot of people have forgotten how to get along with each other. I think that some people have forgotten how to be open- minded as well.
