I purchase a new gaming system on opening night.Since I am one of the first 100 customers to purchase the system,the store gives me 20% discount off the regular cost If I pay 500 for the gaming system at the discount price,what is the regular cost of the gaming system??

so just use the rule of 3 simple and so you can write

500 mean 100% -20% so 80%

500 mean 80% so 0,8
P mean 100% so 1,0

P = 500/0,8 = 625
