Ultrilliam:

Suggest some subjects QC needs here

Ultrilliam:

NOTE: They should be educational in nature, do not suggest things like "rap" or "roleplaying"

AngeI:

Psychology would be a good one Or was it philosophy Not sure

Ultrilliam:

Psychology already exists, so you probably mean philosophy

cathrinerose23:

ooh wht bout physics?

kittybasil:

Also @cathrinerose23 a Physics topic already exists

dude:

Engineering

cathrinerose23:

ooh is marketing one

justus:

Law & criminal justice

justus:

Economics

InsatiableSuffering:

Does sociology count as psychology or no

justus:

Yes

justus:

Oh wait I read your question wrong sorry

justjm:

Standardized exam subject for SAT, ACT, APs, etc. if that's not already there

Ultrilliam:

^While I like the idea, I feel like that violates some copyright laws

justus:

True

justjm:

\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Ultrilliam ^While I like the idea, I feel like that violates some copyright laws \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) Yeah perhaps we can modify it a tad, but I've seen Brainly (not promoting it lol) have those subjects.

justjm:

I've seen a few forensics questions floating around these days, perhaps we can add a forensics subject too

Eiwoh2:

Unless you guys would like to keep it under the mathematics category, I suggest Geometry being its own subject. Basic math and Algebra can differ than what Geometry or Trigonometry teaches. It's a different kind of math. So perhaps it can be a different category, since I do see a lot of Geometry questions being asked around. And you could also take that chance to add a reminder to each of the questions asked in that section...to add any graphs or images that go with the question. I know it exists already in red font, but this may need a more direct reminder.

kittybasil:

Didn't the subjects have sub-topics on OS? We could use mathematics as an umbrella category and put things like Calculus, Algebra, Pre-algebra, Geometry as subcategories.

Ultrilliam:

We actually had those sub-topics at some point, but removed them to reduce clutter

kittybasil:

Same with History. U.S. History, World History... maybe even categorize the types of U.S. History

kittybasil:

Rip

Shadow:

@kittybasil to be fair I've seen psychology questions posted in politics, and math questions posted in English. We don't want to give them too many subjects, but just enough xD

kittybasil:

I'm just going off of what OS was like. Though idk how Preetha and others ran that ship so

xXDerpyPugXx:

Just a list: Geography Robotics Home Economics/Life Skills Foreign Language Literacy _______ idk anymore

dude:

Geography and Foreign Language already exist

xXDerpyPugXx:

oop didnt see that

Lionblaze15:

I'm thinking sociology

Adovbush:

QuestionCove Market Place lol

Lionblaze15:

lol good one Alex

Isry:

I think it depends on what demographic we’re trying to reach. If we want to reach an older crowd then, sociology, philosophy, and etc are conducive to that. However, if our goal is to help younger people then they might be confused by those subjects.

darkknight:

u should be able to block people based on what they post on posts

darkknight:

like this

Eiwoh2:

Understood. I'm just suggesting Geometry as its own main subject considering the amount of questions asked from it. However, do what's best for the site. \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Ultrilliam We actually had those sub-topics at some point, but removed them to reduce clutter \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\)

jungkook22:

art

dude:

Art already exists

Rosebud24:

A government section could actually help with people in high school taking that

kittybasil:

Wait... we don't have a USGov category yet? wutyoudoingultri]/s]

justjm:

Won't that just fall under the 'politics' section?

Adovbush:

^^

Razor:

I've had some time to think about it. Not directly related but, organizing the topics first could be nice. General studies first like English, Maths, Science, and History as main topics. And then subtopics under those; English = Literature, Writing, Grammar, Vocabulary. Math = Algebra 1&2, Geometry, Pre-Calc&Calc, Analysis, Number Theory, Logic, Topology, and Mathematical Physics. Science = Physics, Chemistry, Astronomy, Biology, Physical Science and Social Science. History = Ancient History, Economic History, and U.S History.

Razor:

It's easier to answer this when you think about it for a while, so I reviewed the topic list and just thought it might be better to put them in subcategories then Alphabetically, then the Misc category = Misc subcategories.

rozez:

ML/DS/AI, Unity

hep:

Social work

hep:

Therapeutic

hep:

@Eiwoh2

Lionblaze15:

YAS @hep I agree

hep:

I will run it if I have to

Macho14:

Music Theory

Macho14:

or something related

darkknight:

Thats too many subtopics. I do agree with ultri, they are not needed. And having to many of them will increase "clutter."

darkknight:

We should be able to move posts to the correct subjects if we put them in the wrong one on accident

kittybasil:

I think mods do that
