Please provide the choices. Meanwhile, it might help that similes always contain the words "as" or "like" when comparing something to another completely different thing. For example.. "He ate like a horse." The metaphors do not contain "like" or "as" in their phrases. For example, "My brother was boiling mad". He wasn't literally boiling, but he is very mad.
