So I need suggestions on a prompt for a scholarship... The prompt is: Tell us about a lesson you learned outside the classroom. Please help me out 0.o
Is the scholarship following a theme or is it just a general one? Otherwise, this is really meant to be personal–what is something YOU have learned outside the class? It is probably not meant to be completely academic, you should try and talk about learning a virtue that has impacted you or something that has changed your perspective. You should especially explain how you've applied that virtue in your daily life and other activities. You should talk about how it has made you a better person socially, ethically, and in all other dimensions. Do you volunteer in your community? There's a lot of learning when you volunteer, and you can go really in-depth about being active in your community. You can write about a time when you learned something while volunteering, and how you were able to apply that skill in other fashions. It need not be a skill, but once again something more broad (i.e., if you volunteer at a senior home, don't talk about the procedures you've learned at the senior home, but rather talk about how you've honed your communication and 'people' skills, and improved your responsibility overall. You can apply that in different fields of your life too).
"a lesson" that's such a broad question. Is there a theme (as @justjm has mentioned) that your scholarship questions are following? For example, if the scholarship is for student volunteering, then you would benefit the most from talking about experiences that taught you something while volunteering
