Maddie052005:

If all of the plants on Earth were to go extinct, animals would die too. However, if all of the animals went extinct, plants would still be able to survive. How could this be true?

darkknight:

what do u think?

darkknight:

Think about how plants survive

darkknight:

and what animals provide for them

Maddie052005:

Because plant take more water than trees and less sunlight

darkknight:

I think this has to do more with the energy balance between plants and animals, plants need Carbon dioxide right? They don't necessarly have to get that from animals. They can get it from other sources.

darkknight:

Also they would probably die but now they don't have animals chewing on them? xD

darkknight:

Think about oxygen and CO2 and who needs what and who provides what

darkknight:

I am the darkknight
