What is everyone's thoughts on Dragon Ball Z, I'm bored and would like to know everyone's stance on the anime's I watch.

Also I’ve seen the entirety of Dragon Ball, it’s a lot of filler but if that doesn’t bother you then watch it. Also Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Z Kai are basically the same, with Kai having digital animation as opposed to drawn.

As far as dragon ball goes, the only anime of that, that I have seen fully is Dragon Ball GT but I would like to see the other series because they seem fun and awesome but they are really daunting.

Didn’t like Dragon Ball GT, way too slow and disconnected. I didn’t really enjoy the whole “taking place in the future” thing.

Yeah, the whole thing with SS4 and "Baby" and the fact that Goku is a little kid til he transforms kinda made it suck and the episodes I HAVE watched of the other series's have had been much truer to what I imagined in watching Dragon Ball.

You don’t get to see a lot of the characters that are normally prevalent throughout the series. For a good chunk of the seasons, it’s just Pan, Kid Goku and Trunks. Only after Baby do you see Vegeta and everyone else. SPOILERS Vegeta even becomes absorbed as Baby, which makes the entire introduction pointless, since it’s just Majin Buu all over again.

Yeah, as much as I thought Baby Vegeta looked cool it just made me have flashbacks to when Goku took an hour to go SS3 in his fight against Majin and that kinda killed the moment for me. TBH though, I am a little confused as to how Goku and Vegeta got their SSGSS (aka Super Saiyan Blue) forms after Goku went SSG, but I guess I should just watch the anime and find out

I have watched Battle of the Gods, but I don't entirely understand how those events (Goku going SSG and Vegeta having an utter rage attack on beerus) led to SSGSS in Dragon Ball Super.

Oh, so it's basically like how Goku got SS in the first place (training). I was expecting something like how Goku went SSG. And that wasn't much of a spoiler because the entire reason I even want to watch that movie (Resurrection F) is because of SSGSS

It was training with the addition of the typical “emotional outburst” that caused Goku and Vegeta to transform. When Golden Frieza has his pilot shoot Vegeta (or Goku? I can’t remember) through the heart, that is enough to make one of them turn Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan. Either way, one of them have an emotional outburst and are able to attain that level not only because of Whis’s training but also the circumstances.

TBH the main reason I want to watch DB is because when I was a little kid my older brothers would watch it and I would watch with them but I don't get to see them anymore so it's kinda a nostalgia thing I'm trying to fulfill.

I get that, I grew up on Z Kai so it's definitely a generational thing. If anything, I'm just waiting until the next arch is released. The Broly Movie was fine, he's actually my favorite DB character, but it just didn't do it for me. I'd rather wait 12 weeks for every episode to release than watch it all in one sitting. Perhaps thats just the way I feel idk

I did not expect that, I remember watching youtube videos talking about how there was some other secret character that was like op and even more powerful than beerus that might swoop in and steal the show but I guess that never happened otherwise there would be a more interesting ending

I didn't really expect any of the major characters to win, I thought their wishes would've been kinda ridiculous. Like what would Goku really wish for? Same with Vegeta and Frieza. Android 18 was a down to earth character from the beginning. I don't have any complaints about him winning
