French Mini-Tutorial: Days of the Week, Months, & Seasons

As a general rule of thumb, days of the week, months, and seasons are lowercase. \({\bf{Days~of~the~Week}}\) Les jours (days) de la semaine (week) lundi: Monday mardi: Tuesday mercredi: Wednesday jeudi: Thursday vendredi: Friday samedi: Saturday dimanche: Sunday What day is it?: "Quel jour sommes-nous aujourd'hui?" or "C'est quel jour aujourd'hui?" It is (day): "Nous sommes __day__" or "C'est __day__" special note: when talking about a specific day, omit the definite article. however, if you are referring to an action/event/etc. performed *every* Monday/Tuesday, etc. then use the definite article to specify this. Ex: Le lundi, je vais à la gym. (On Mondays, I go to the gym. This does *not* refer to a specific Monday)

Quel mois sommes-nous? It is... month Nous sommes en __month__. Or C'est __month__. ex: Halloween est en octobre. Je vais à l'école au mois d'août.
