Kikilisous18:

evaluate (8+16) divided by (6+(2-2)(6))??

barstho:

So, to do this question you'll need to apply PEMDAS. Have you heard of that concept?

mysterygirl1338:

To do this just go to mathway and just put that problem in there and it will give you step by step help

Kikilisous18:

ok so i just need to do the pendas method for that then? yes ive heard of it i just forgot how to do some math that i did at the beginning of the year

barstho:

So PEMDAS = Parenthesis, Exponent, Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction This is the order you have to solve the problem in. \[(8+16)\div(6+(2-2)(6))\] Start with the numerator

darkknight:

yep so in the numerator combine 8 and 16 to get 24. There is a parenthesis around it. In the denominator. Simplify the 2-2 to 0 because that is in parenthesis. Multiply that by 6 next because multiplication comes before addition. So you have 0 in the denominator so far than add 6 to it. At the end you have 24/6
