KRobinson22:

the volume of a cylinder is 93 cubic feet. What is the volume of a cone that fits exactly inside the cylinder

DuarteME:

The volume of a cylinder whose base has an area \(A\) and height \(h\) is: \(V_{\textrm{cylinder}} = Ah.\) The volume of a cone whose base has an area \(A\) and height \(h\) is: \(V_{\textrm{cone}} = \dfrac{1}{3}Ah.\) Notice that the cone and the cylinder share the same base and the same height. Given these, can you now see what is the relation between the volumes?
