A salesperson works 40 hours per week at a job where he has two options for being paid. Option A is an hourly wage of $21. Option B is a commission rate of 4% on weekly sales. How much does he need to sell this week to earn the same amount with the two options

to find the amount earned by working (a) hours at (b) wage per hour, simply multiply ab for option A, the hourly wage is #21/hr and the # of hours is 40 for option B, he earns a 4% comission on sales, so simply represent the sales as x, and the total wage as 0.04*x set option A and oiption B equal to each other and solve for x
