My own brother for example, was able to take courses that didn't require as much academical knowledge to pass them. These classes included; courses on motion pictures, and courses on science fiction. He was unable to successfully complete an English course at his institute for higher learning. My sister, believed that she was taking courses that required sufficient academic knowledge for passing college courses, she was also unable to complete a degree at her chosen institute for higher learning.
