Meredith drives at a speed of 32 miles per hour, and she is currently out of gas. A gallon of gas costs 2.15, and her car goes 27 miles per gallon of gas. If she has 17.20 to pay for gas, for how many hours can she drive?

darkknight:

so you need to first worry about how many gallons she can buy. A gallon costs $2.15 and she has 17.20$. 2.15x=17.20, where x is how many gallons she can buy. Next multiply x by 27 to find out how many miles she can drive. Divide the product of 27 and x by 32 to find the number of hours she can drive
