amccollum:

a pizza shop offers a special on a two topping pizza from a list of three items. If a person randomly chooses the items on his pizza, what is the probability that he chooses a pizza with double pepperoni?

Mercury:

old question but will respond so this can be closed I'm interpreting "double pepperoni" as essentially choosing pepperoni for both your toppings? in that case, simply consider the two topping separately. each time you have a 1/3 chance of choosing pepperoni, with the events being independent. then multiply the probability by 1/3 again for the second topping choice.
