Music Group Rules originally brought to you by @Shadowfiend and @TuringTest The kinds of things that *are* allowed to be posted in this subject: - Discussions and questions on musical theory. - Discussions and questions on instruments, instrumentation, composition, songwriting, etc. - Posting your own original work for feedback and criticism (as usual, please be respectful). Do NOT: - Post YouTube videos for other artists. - Post poems or lyrics, they belong in the literature or writing section. - Post SoundCloud links for other artists. - Post questions about what people's favorite genres are. - Post an Artist's name and a song by them / Ask if anyone knows what a specific song is - Post song lyrics that are not yours - Poll questions (e.g. "Do you like this song?", “Who’s your favorite artist?” - Post questions asking for singers/rappers/artists for anything; this can be done in chat

nikki2004:

oh okay i get it

TheSmartOne:

Yes, if you just want to share music that you like then you can use the chats below for that. But these rules are put in place otherwise the question areas would be swamped with posts that are irrelevant.

Hero:

Well I guess the "record" has been officially set straight here.

Hero:

"Do NOT post poems, they belong in the literature or writing section"

Hero:

You asked if I post "something" without specifying what the "something" is. So you left room to assume what is written is a poem. When you're asking a question about "something", you want to be as clear as possible. This way it leaves as little room for assumption as possible.

Kyky232:

hey!! Can you ask for help when writing a song? Is that allowed maybe??

kimberlydereza:

Is it ok if like for example I post some lyrics that I wrote on here?

caydenisdead:

can i post a song

dinonuggets12:

Maxine:

dgreer4:

I write my own songs and yes I sing other peoples songs to get comments but yeah I understand @TheSmartOne

darkknight:

I can help clarify, so if it is your youtube channel you should be free to link it, just don't post other artists music is what TSO is saying

juju:

so what if we didnt like the persons song and we said it didnt sound good as critisism would that not be respectful and get me in trouble ?

WendyMorales2007:
