\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @darkknight Is this for QC? \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) I was on an archive for QC I believe
That is actually on every question for QuestionCove that you Google, anywho, yes it is still available, however, as we are not yet classified as a non profit officially, while we can draw up a certificate for volunteer hours based on an algorithm, not everyone will accept volunteer hours from a company not officially a non profit. Very good question nobody's asked before! :)
Wait, so will it ever become officially non-profit? And how would that work then?
Also there would need to be a way to track actual hours spent making productive contributions to QC as opposed to just "hanging out" on QC.
Hero, we have ways to track that algorithmically Yes, we do want to become an official non profit where most funds go back into QC, and any excess we donate to charities, but at this time we aren't able to. When we eventually do, not much will change visibally, but behind the scenes a lot will change
Yes, because a lot of our users just "hang out." Some people help. I feel like the medal system is kinda off because it is very variable (I mean that some people get like 5 medals for answering and some other people get like 2 for putting the same amount of effort in)
Yes I've been seen that website before but just noticed this, and was ecstatic to see if this was really true. So basically it's available but it's up to the school to consider it or not.
Correct justjm
Ah, I see
And mostly the way the company itself is structured, and how the services are hosted and stuff
Lol, I wish. We make barely enough to pay for the servers
oh Lol
Yea, that number is so rediculously off its not even funny, just gonna say that
So how exactly would the hours be accumulated? Is it like a certain number of questions per hour or will you have your own stats and decide accordingly?
Good question, I can't give specifics but it depends on subjects, length of responses, plaigorism scores, previous moderation, SmartScore, and a couple other factors
Okay thank you!
ok - but hope so much that QC not will have never the destiny of OS.
May QC find the help it needs and live on. I'm sure some hopeful individuals can come along and contribute for the site to keep growing...and fill up with more dependable people to help people with questions.
