scale factors are based on linear dimensions (i.e. the radius) not square dimensions, so you cannot simply write SA:SA. step 1. divide the larger figure SA by the smaller figure SA 125(pi)/20(pi) now, because SA is based on the *square* of the radius, you need to take the square root of the result and write the equivalent ratio.
