Do you think juvenile courts should be handled in a more informal manner or should they follow strict legal due process procedures like adult criminal courts? Why?

IMO it depends on the case and age. If it is a 17 or 18-year-old in court for murder, it should be done with traditional procedures. If it's a 6-year-old stealing a bag of potato chips, then I'm pretty sure it should be resolved right there itself.

In certain specific circumstances younger children commonly are victims are brought along because of youth gangs/violence. For them, I believe it's only reasonable and fair that the courts should bring it down to their understanding of the law(s) that are set before them. The punishment might be the same or somewhat lessened considering the crime, first offense, or even age. For those who may be older (13-17). I'd consider that it would only be just in receiving adult-like penalties, but not so much as putting them in adult prisons, but in specific age ranges whereas they might victimize the younger children and leading them into more/other influences.
