ILoveXXXTENTACION:

WHICH AGENCY IS RESPONSIBLE FOR CALCULATING THE CASE FATALITY RATE FOR A DISEASE? WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES IN DETERMINING AN ACCURATE CORONAVIRUS FATALITY RATE?

umm:

Thoughts?

ILoveXXXTENTACION:

What?

kittybasil:

Do you have any ideas or thoughts about this? We can go from there.

ILoveXXXTENTACION:

Ummm... idk

kittybasil:

Any ideas you have count :)

ILoveXXXTENTACION:

Sadly, no

kittybasil:

Here, let's split this into two parts:

  • Which agency is responsible for calculating the case fatality rate for a disease?
  • What are the challenges in determining an accurate coronavirus fatality rate?
Let's work on the first part: "Which agency is responsible for calculating the case fatality rate for a disease?" In layman's terms, it means: Which agency calculates the rate of death for a disease?

kittybasil:

Which agency do you think does those tasks? :)

ILoveXXXTENTACION:

The FDA?

kittybasil:

Ah, no sorry. The FDA manages food and dietary matters... and sometimes drugs. But it was a good try! :)

ILoveXXXTENTACION:

lol thx :)

kittybasil:

Any other thoughts? :)

ILoveXXXTENTACION:

nope :(

kittybasil:

Here's a tip: which organizations in the US or worldwide manage disease cases and records?

ILoveXXXTENTACION:

idk :( thats literally how slow i am bout all of this :(

kittybasil:

Oh, you're not slow :) Everyone learns at a different pace. If you need time to think about anything, feel free

ILoveXXXTENTACION:

i honestly dont think that imma every really find the answer to these

kittybasil:

It's okay :) Maybe I was a little too wordy. The first question is asking you which organization(s) manage stuff like death rates for diseases. Does that help?

ILoveXXXTENTACION:

ok ummm... kinda but what is a easier more definition of an organization

kittybasil:

Oh, you don't know what an organization is? This is the official definition, but it's things like the FDA that you mentioned :)

ILoveXXXTENTACION:

ohhhh ok

ILoveXXXTENTACION:

and i still dont know the answer

ILoveXXXTENTACION:

ugggg :(

kittybasil:

Case fatality rates definition, maybe this will help? :)

ILoveXXXTENTACION:

a little bit

kittybasil:

Oh, where are you still confused? Maybe I'm still using too many complicated words, sorry

ILoveXXXTENTACION:

yea... its ok :)

ILoveXXXTENTACION:

im just not that all smart

kittybasil:

Maybe we can work on the second part then? It might be able to help you figure out the first part. "What are the challenges in determining an accurate coronavirus fatality rate?" Here they're asking what obstacles or difficulties they would encounter in calculating accurate fatality rates for COVID. Basically: "what stops us from getting accurate results on death rates?"

kittybasil:

Does that explanation make sense? I can reword it if you have trouble :)

ILoveXXXTENTACION:

nope it doesnt make sense at all

ILoveXXXTENTACION:

im so sorry :(

kittybasil:

No, don't be sorry! This site is for helping others with homework, and we're here to help you :) The second part is trying to ask what might stop somebody from trying to get accurate death rate results. That means anything that wouldn't get you an accurate answer. Here's an example: We don't know exactly what the death rate is because not everyone who dies from Coronavirus reports in. Plus, some of them might be wrong because the people died from other diseases, but the hospitals wrote "death by Corona" or something, instead.

kittybasil:
