Ahh no not quite an electromagnetic wave. Electromagnetic waves are transverse perpendicular waves (i.e., there are actually two waves, one the electric field, and other the magnetic field, and their waves have one rest line yet they are perpendicular). Sound waves are mechanical and longitudinal waves.
