Isolation is a major theme in the novel Frankenstein, particularly pertaining to the stories of Victor Frankenstein, Robert Walton, and the Creature. But which character’s isolation is not self-imposed? A. Victor Frankenstein B. Henry Clerval C. Justine Lovitz D. The creature

sammixboo:

When they say self-imposed, they mean that the character did not cause their own isolation, but someone else did. If you think about it, Frankenstein's monster was made, and because of how he looked and how scary he was to other people, people would avoid him which forced him into isolation, which was not his fault.
