- objects of prepositions

- compound objects & subjects

- to emphasize the object of a verb
ex: Lui, il va récupérer. Elle, elle ne le fera pas. (He, he will recover. She, she will not.)

- after c'est or ce sont
ex: C'est elle. (It is she.)
C'est lui qui perçoit la vérité. (It is he who perceives the truth.)

- after être in posessive contructions
