Which tie did Mr. Spiegler get and from whom?
Like, having the relatives on both sides threw me off greatly. I'm not even sure how I would begin to mark it?
Here are the answer choices
so there's five people who each received a unique tie from a unique relative. the chart is to help you use the clues and mark off any combinations that you know for sure are either true, or false so let's use clue 1 as an example: "tie with grinning leprechauns wasn't a present from daughter" so you would go to the leprechaun column and see where it intersects with "daughter" and mark an X for no (or some other symbol of your choosing, doesn't matter as long as you're consistent" to let you know that leprechaun and daughter don't go together

(actually it's 4 people but you get the idea) ideally, you would be able to read all the clues, and be able to cross out 3 in a row, thus leaving you with only one as the real possibility. for example, if we are able to cross out (daughter x cupids) and (daughter x happy faces) and (daughter x leprechauns) we know that the reindeer tie was given by a daughter. also, if we know the daughter gave a reindeer tie, we could also cross out (any other relative x reindeer tie)

does that make a little more sense? or is something still confusing?
Yes this makes sense, the part that more so confused me was that they had the relatives again in the chart on the right o.O Thank you for explaining this so far, I wasnt entirely sure and I appreciate it
Good luck! as a side note I hate these problems so much
Thank you cx
For people who may see this question in the future. Silly me forgot to add the actually question itself e.e "Which tie did Mr. Spiegler get and from whom? " Will add this to the title Still working this out but at least I got the two ties narrowed down
Dang I have to start my test in 3 mins, Ill finish this later. However I think its either happy faces or reindeer from father in law. Sorry to bug you again @Vocaloid if you wouldnt mind commenting on my choices Ill respond when I can e.e
oof I haven't actually tried solving it but I'll see what I can get
o sorry
I'm hitting a wall but I think you're on the right track so far
ok so here's what I did: for clue 5 I assigned Evans to be the leprechaun tie and Spiegler to be the Father in Law tie. Then I cross-referenced this fact with all the other facts, and applied the other clues to get to the right solution - do you want to see my work or do you still want to figure it out yourself?
Thats what I did as well, I would love to see how yours ended if that is oki c:
OH I SEE NOW thank you very much cx
