Tykyla:

A glass vase weighs 0.15 lb. How much does a similarly shaped vase of the same glass weigh if each dimension is 3 times as large?

kittybasil:

Hello @Tykyla! Welcome to QuestionCove (QC). Is this all of your question? Any answer choices? If not, we can start working through the answer.

ramen:

First of all, what do you think would happen to the weight if each dimension is tripled?

ramen:

I actually think that this is the full problem and we have enough info.

darkknight:

w/.15 = 3^3 w= .15(3^3) SImplify that ^ to get your answer. Since the glass vase is scaled by 3 times as much in all 3 directions (that is where we get the 3^3 from) And then you want to multiply that by .15 (which is the initial weight of the glass)

darkknight:

Ya can keep that to yourself, try to refrain from making posts that don't help the user. Good job though
