\({\bf{Double~Pronouns~Placement:}}\) me, te, se, nous, and vous (when they are used as direct object, indirect object, or reflexive objects) usually go first followed by the direct object pronouns le, la, les followed by the indirect object pronouns lui, leur followed by the y and en (in that order) in the negative form, the pronouns follow "ne" and precede the main verb examples: Il me l'a dit. (He said it to me.) Notice how "me" precedes "l'" Je lui en attribue. (I assigned him some (implied direct object)). Notice how "lui" precedes "en." Il n'y en avait pas. (There wasn't any there.) Notice how "y" precedes "en"

\({\bf{Affirmative~Imperative~Pronoun~Placement:}}\) for affirmative (not negative) imperatives, object pronouns follow the verb the object pronouns le, la, and les come first, followed by indirect object pronouns moi, toi, and lui, nous, vous, leur followed by y and en, in that order append the pronouns to the verb in the appropriate order ex: Écrivez-le-lui. (Write it to him/for him.) Recommande-le-nous. (Recommend it for us.) Apportez-nous-en. (Bring us some.)
