Yes it is my friend is an empath and she gets those feelings especially about me we could be on opposite ends of the school and she'd feel it

Emotionally.. the closest you would get it empathy

Physically? Not really unless you're also being tortured with the same inhumane tactics. And then again, everyone has different pain thresholds

Actually, it is possible. There are these people called Empaths. It's rare to find one, like really rare, but they exist. These people can feel everything people are feeling, no matter where they are.

Sounds like astrology to me, but I certainly believe in empathy / sympathy as a whole.
