Alizzybooth:

Is it possible to go from one place to another without knowing you left?

ramen:

Yeah, I guess if you are really focused or distracted by a certain thought that just takes your energy of knowing where you are going.

justjm:

Yes this is a symptom in a mental illness whose name I forgot :/

justjm:

it's called dissociative identity disorder (DID) and this is different from having several personalities. The symptom where the person goes to a random place without realizing is called dissociative fugue

justjm:

It's actually quite literally what you described. The person will go somewhere without realizing at all. You might find them walking on a road in the middle of no where and then they find out and are like "WHAT THE—" or some of them even continue and live different lives

justjm:

See an interesting case study on this: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3680202/ There's actually a lot of cool ones. I read one where the person continued living a different life with a different name and then after a long time they woke up confused.

Alizzybooth:

thank you, that helps a lot

Nonportirt:

Again *holds in all dirty and funny comments*

ramen:

I'm literally holding in all dirty and funny comments I have towards you Nonportirt.... smh

TheSmartOne:

It could also be possible with sleep walking (somnambulism)

Nonportirt:

Yea..... no.... ramen we never talk and I barely even know who you are so you having funny or dirty comments against me is 0 to none sorry.
