so if you look at the graph, there should be some parts where the slope is positive (going upwards from left to right) and some parts where the slope is negative (going downwards)

then look at the x-values. notice how from x = 0 to x = 2 it's decreasing. that's not one of the answer choices so keep going with the rest of the graph.
