The distance between f and d is 13 9 + 4 = 13 And they want us to split it into a ratio of 8:5 So that means from f to this point g, would be 8/13 of the total fd line We get 13 here because 8+5 = 13 That means we don't even need to do any extra math to calculate anything because our line is also 13 units long!!! So just count 8 spaces down from f towards d, and that will be our point g
